We are looking for an experienced sports reporter to join the ever-growing ranks of award-winning national press agency Sportsbeat based in our London office in Wimbledon.
We are primarily looking for a reporter with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Olympic sports, particularly track and road cycling, as well as an interest in football, rugby and cricket.
You’ll have to love sport, be a team player and a great all-rounder, with the ability to use Quark XPress, edit content to tight deadlines and have a strong knowledge of various content management systems.
As well as being a talented sub-editor and writer, we are looking for a reporter with a minimum of two years’ experience in a newsroom and knowledge of social media platforms – this is not a position for a journalism starter.
Candidates will need to have a full NCTJ diploma in journalism, including 100-words per-minute shorthand and should possess a full clean driving licence.
Enthusiasm and a love of digital media and a track record in print is essential, as well as a flexible approach to working hours are a necessity. We are looking to fill the role promptly.
All applications should be submitted to Sportsbeat editor-in-chief David Parsons via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
