Sportsbeat to work with British Paralympic Association ahead of Rio 2016

Sportsbeat will work closely with the British Paralympic Association in the build-up to this year’s Games in Rio.

We will design and edit the official team handbook and media guide, which will profile the 200-plus strong team, who are competing in 19 sports.

During Games time, Olympics editor Pippa Field will be embedded as one of three Sportsbeat reporters in the official ParalympicsGB news team.

And managing editor James Toney will write the official review of the Games, which will be published in hard back form just a few weeks after the closing ceremony.

“We are delighted to continue our close working relationship with the British Paralympic Association,” said editor-in-chief David Parsons.

“We’ve worked with them closely throughout this Paralympic cycle, from working on National Paralympic Day to the Winter Games in Sochi two years ago.

“We know the inspiring stories behind the stories and we can’t wait to tell them in a few weeks time.”

Sportsbeat are also producing the official media guide and athlete handbook for Team GB ahead of the Olympic Games.
