Sportsbeat is planning our biggest ever coverage of the Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympics.
The agency is producing the media and athlete handbooks for both the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association, filled with schedules, sport guides, facts and details about the athletes travelling to PyeongChang.
Sportsbeat works as the retained digital news agency for both TeamGB and ParalympicsGB and you can see our exclusive preview content across their digital channels in the build-up to the Games.
We will also help activate digital content strategies for Team GB sponsors, UK Anti-Doping and the National Lottery.
The agency will also be syndicating a full range of text and multimedia content in the build-up to and during the Games, covering national, regional and local press and digital publishers.
At the 2014 Games in Sochi, Sportsbeat’s syndication was carried in over 100 titles and reached a combined audience in excess of 40 million.
In 2018 our Olympic coverage will be supported by official broadcaster Eurosport, while Sainsbury’s, an official sponsor of the British Paralympic Association, will again partner our Winter Paralympic coverage.
Sportsbeat’s coverage will be directed by David Parsons, leading our editorial services for his eighth Games, and managing editor James Toney, who will be on the ground at his tenth Games.
He will be supported by Pippa Field, Ryan Walters and Ross Lawson in PyeongChang.
“British athletes are travelling to PyeongChang with more medal opportunities than ever before,” said James Toney. “We’re proud to continue our close working relationship with both Team GB and Paralympics GB and to partner with Eurosport and Sainsbury’s to deliver an unrivalled multimedia syndication service.”
