We’re on the road with the Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour

News

Sportsbeat is half way through a three-month road trip around the UK with the Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour.

The agency, which has been appointed by the International Cricket Council to run the official news service, is working with the local organising committee to produce content for video and text syndication across media clients and the tournament’s social channels.

From Trafalgar School to Blackpool via official venues including Southampton, Bristol, Taunton, Derby, Durham, Manchester and Birmingham, excitement is gathering pace for this summer’s showpiece.

In addition to our video strategy, we’ve produced syndicated content with the great and good of English cricket, who all have high hopes for the home team, who are looking to follow the example of the women’s team that won their World Cup in England two years ago.

From Mike Gatting to Steve Harrison to Graeme Swann, our content has appeared in international, national, regional and specialist media.

Reckon you could draw the Cricket World Cup trophy while riding a roller coaster? 🎢

We sent @Paulnico199 & @JemelOneFive to the @Pleasure_Beach in Blackpool to do just that! 😂 #CWCTrophyTour pic.twitter.com/JomBFOvwSw

🏺 We sent the #CWCTrophyTour to a pottery making class at @Middleport_Pot in Stoke, where pupils from Saint Nathaniel’s Academy had a go at making the Cricket World Cup trophy in clay!

It’s not as easy as it looks… pic.twitter.com/zfnlKgv1P9
