Sportsbeat expand again with additions to production and social teams
Sportsbeat have boosted their growing production and social media teams with the appointment of two new members of staff.
Ben Coldwell joins Sportsbeat as our new social media editor after a hugely successful period in the same role for the London 2017 IAAF and World Para Athletics Championships.
Ben, who came through our News Associates training scheme, is also a former Athletics Weekly news editor and brings a wealth of sports journalism and social experience to our team.
He will help manage and deliver social content strategies for an expanding roster of clients including Premiership Rugby, the Guinness PRO14 and British Cycling.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ben on board and I’m sure he will make an immediate impact,” said Sportsbeat editor-in-chief David Parsons. “As a content agency we are working ever closer with a wide portfolio of brands and NGBs to provide a sophisticated social media service and Ben will certainly help us to drive this service going forward.”
Also joining Sportsbeat is Tony Waghorne, who is the latest videographer to be added to our production crew.
A TV and Film graduate from the University of Essex, Tony is a talented camera operator and FCPX editor and has joined Sportsbeat as the we continue to grow and expand our production unit.
“In the short time he has been with us Tony has already proved a fantastic addition to the team,” added David Parsons. “Over the past five years our production crew has grown from one camera operator to a hugely experience and talented, multi-disciplinary team of nine shooting on location anything up to 400 times a year and we are very excited about what the next 12 months holds.”
