Sportsbeat win European Professional Club Rugby social media brief
Sportsbeat, the sports content division of Beat Media Group, has been appointed to manage the social media channels for Europe’s premier club rugby competitions, following a competitive pitch.
The agency will provide video production services, live match video clipping, social media content management and creation and live reporting for both the Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup. All content will be produced in multiple languages.
Commenting on the appointment, Martyn Hindley, European Professional Club Rugby’s (EPCR’s) head of communications & public relations, said: “After working with Sportsbeat on EPCR’s commissioned video content, we are delighted to have strengthened that relationship with this agreement to manage our social media channels.
“Sportsbeat has a proven track record of delivering engaging rugby content in both English and French and that makes this partnership both valuable and timely in helping EPCR to achieve its overall objectives.”
David Parsons, Beat Media Group’s editor-in-chief, added: “We’re excited at the creative brief we’ve got to work with to bring alive all the drama of Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
“Our work with EPCR will involve all elements of our content team, from our social media producers to multimedia specialists and specialist rugby journalists.”
European Professional Club Rugby is the latest client win for the agency, which also delivers wide-ranging content briefs for other rugby rights-holders, including Premiership Rugby, Guinness PRO14, Six Nations Rugby and the British and Irish Lions.
